Ripon Cathedral (“Cathedral of the Yorkshire Dales”) is a really vibrant and visible place which is really is a Hub for the Community.
This May Bank holiday my Golden Retriever and I are off to participate in their annual Beer Festival. One afternoon, 1000 people, 12 beers from different local brewers, bangers and burgers from local butchers and brilliant folk singers and blues guitarists = £6,000 towards their roof fund. Not bad eh?
This Cathedral really is an amazing institution and they really know how engage and communicate.
Have a look at their website http://www.riponcathedral.org.uk/news.php?chpg=5&passsec=5 and see report and pics from their Palm Sunday event and see how they use Facebook to relive the day and spread their message.
